this is the first stop with a local guide on the thermal wonderland tour. It’s the largest mud bath in the world and quite steamy! This tour included 3 other women who were also solo travelers, one from Canada who had just completed her law degree in Tahiti, one from Scotland who was visiting on a holiday work visa, and the third from Germany visiting a friend who was in the middle of finishing exams in Auckland. One of the perks of travel is the people you meet and I loved these adventurous, independent spirits!
