Dijon’s homeless

I noticed more homeless people in Dijon than I had anywhere else on the trip so far and not sure why.  They’re at the entrance of churches, train stations, grocery stores, and on the main drag like the woman above. Some walk right up to you and ask for money when you’re sitting at a cafe or wandering a street.  Like the woman pictured, almost all of them, with exception of very old women, have a dog with them. This makes it really hard to pass them by without giving them something you hope they’ll use to feed the animal. Irrespective of these people’s stories, I had more sympathy for the innocent and defenseless beast who got a raw deal when selected as a prop for a pity party.
