This is a photo from my vantage point ( the very rear of group) on the hike back up the mountain. About half way up I started to beg Levi (my porter ) to radio for a helicopter airlift at any price. When we finally made it to the road about four hours later, my guide was waiting for me with arms stretched open wide. He exclaimed – “I knew there was a strong woman inside you waiting to get out!” I managed to gasp my need to get to the van as quickly as possible as there was a strange tingling in my legs and I was sure that all limbs were plotting an excruciatingly painful payback And they did – with cramps and stiffness for about three days following – but who’s complaining????
