While I’m having lunch at a cafe, this giant lion and eagle march by accompanied by a musical group. The two puppet animals danced around each other before charging and then making up. I’m told by a fellow bystander that this represented the symbolic need for peace and how it can be achieved by the majesty, bravery and sovereignty of the lion embracing the strength and perseverance of the eagle – I thought I had lucked out by landing here during a festival but also learned that there’s a festival planned about every minute in Spain!
