The central market, along with practically everything else, was designed by Joze Plecnik, Ljubljanica’s famed architect. One of his signatures were colonnades like the ones pictured here. The market follows the curve of the river and on the Saturday I was there, plenty of street entertainment was available for your listening pleasure while shopping. So festive.
