A contemporary version of Arabian Nights came to life with our jeep driver who blared rock music from his radio as we sped through rose colored cliffs and natural arches of the desert. If there was a lull in conversation among my travel companions, he’d zig zag the jeep with some sharp jerks of the wheel and laugh out loud as we screamed. He told me that he tried to live in city to make more money but always found himself yearning for “home” -preferring his cave and sleeping under the stars.
