A felucca is a traditional wooden sail boat used by ancient Egyptians to travel their freeway, the Nile. I took one to sail around elephatine island – one of the first settlements for Egyptians who used it as a major port. There’s no motor so it’s a quiet, peaceful sail where you can see plenty of water foul ( and I loved my barefooted, crusty old sailor!)
