Elephant caregivers are called Mahouts and as boys they are paired with a baby elephant so that they can grow up together and completely understand and trust each other. In the case of these rescued ones, Mahouts are hired to begin the relationship building process 24/7. These elephants are happy and loving as you can tell from this flirt who was only too willing to give me a cuddle!
