Just about 300 meters down from the falls, is a butterfly park which was established by Dutch couple as a breeding sanctuary for butterflies and research center. I don’t know what is more interesting, the journey these really good looking 40 something’s took to end up in Laos or the facility itself – but it’s beautiful AND they funnel a lot of their profits from ticket sales to local schools. And of course – they ticket price includes a slice of apple pie – because – well – they’re Dutch!
