Two bamboo bridges cross the river from Luang Prabang to a small island where additional restaurants and shops can be found. I had to take people’s word about the quality of restaurants because when I got to the entrance of the bridge my vertigo kicked in ( or was it the way the bridge swayed in the wind?) no matter – I couldn’t muster the courage to take the first step to cross….
