I was here during the lunar new year where most homes have alters established to worship ancestors and pray for blessings in the new year- three key wishes are represented in statues like the ones photographed – I asked my guide why happiness wasn’t included and he looked at me with surprise and said – “if you get health, wealth and longevity doesn’t that follow?” hmmm…food for thought – but I think I’d include it along with love and peace just for safe measure.
