Wine is hard to come by in India – you have to hire a tuk tuk driver to take you to a small, government owned shop where they sell it to you over the counter. The fact that this driver asked if he could take a picture of my booty underscores the novelty of its purchase. I had a similar incident in Munnar – I was taken on a scooter ride to a small shop down an alley and word must have traveled quickly of the american purchasing wine because before I knew it, I was surrounded by about 6 guys all marveling at my bottles!
