Ghandi’s home has been turned into a very impressive museum… you enter through his bedroom (the film with Ben Kingsley portrays it exactly as it is!) and the rooms behind this now contain exhibits that describe his life. After exiting, a walk takes you on his last journey to a prayer site before being assassinated. Letters he wrote to relatives back in England are posted on walls surrounding the gardens – some of which are insightful – for example, one reads ” I was overwhelmed with gratuitous advice. Well-meaning yet ignorant friends thrust their opinions into unwilling ears.” A man of peace who still retains an “edge”!
