Chandi Chowk is near the Red Fort and was designed by the favorite daughter of emperor Shah Jahan so that she had nearby access to goods and services. It was originally built around a pool that shimmered in the moonlight to provide light for late night shopping by royals. It’s now a more contemporary source of goods purchased in bulk at wholesale prices.
