I’m staring at the palace when a fellow American sidled up and says to me – “can I ask you a dumb question?” After I nod, she responds in an dubious tone “is this the Buckingham palace?” I admit, the building kind of lacks the grandeur I (and it appears I am not alone) was expecting. But just as you’re about to move on, the guards jump to and the place takes on all the majesty required for a little royal glamor.
