they’re the only cats who hang out in groups – and “proud” of it….eh…eh…eh….they live between 12-16 years in the wild – largely because of their red meat diet. ( by contrast, vegetarians, like giraffes, live much longer – like up to 35 years) The females are the hunters – one’s a “center” and the other a wing – the “wing” circles the prey and drawing them into the center. When din din is in reach, the center clamps her jaw on the neck of the prey to suffocate it. We saw a lioness devouring a fresh zebra kill in Tanzania.
