Benny got us upgraded to a luxury camp and our official greeter introduced herself pronouncing her name like you say mine!!! I was astounded and asked her how she spelled it which was as above. The Dutch had colonized parts of Africa in the past so it’s possible Dutch names were given and simplified over time. That night we heard lions roaring at about 8:30pm and I was also awakened at 4:40 am to their roars. I asked Jesska about it at breakfast, she told me being on safari required “dutch courage” – in my world that means large quantities of booze. Wondered if she meant that too?
