After coming back from a beach so popular you had to get there by 8:30 am to secure a lounge chair, I told my taxi driver I was in search of a place not so touristy and crowded. He gave me directions to this local favorite – not much of a beach, definitely no umbrellas but oh man – the surf was fun. And note to self – if you ever want to know where the best restaurants and other hidden treasures are, ask a cab driver.
