“love” had to be this guy’s middle name. He greeted the young couple at a table near mine and asked if he could hold the infant seated with them. I think they sensed his goodness too as they agreed with no apparent reservation. When he took the baby into the restaurant and out of sight the parents didn’t look concerned so I tried to keep my anxiety in check and soon enough, he re-appeared with a happy baby sucking a carrot stick. The waiters and waitresses treat you like family here. That kind of happiness is contagious….put a little skip in my step on the way home!
