that’s the bishop in background – when the catholic church insisted only Latin be used for worship, he defied orders with a call to introduce the national language into services so that people would better understand the word of God – ironically got his head chopped for this common sense way of spreading the word….now his big toe is golden from years of superstitious rubbing from Croatians who think this will make wishes come true.
