the smallest of the four quarters, it is not dedicated to any religion but simply represents the Armenians presence in Jerusalem for about 1,500 years after they converted to Christianity. There’s been an influx of this population since 1915 when many fled to Israel during the war between Turkey and Armenia. Cobblestone streets and ceramic art dominate the scene – St Mark’s Church is pictured giving you sense of their distinctive ceramic style.
