That’s Ramses II again – with the moon casting a beam on him. This temple was not dedicated to gods as all others were but rather for the rejuvenation of kingship. It was started by Amenhotep who was considered one of the best builders. Three pharaohs later, Ramses who, as in what appeared to be his typical style, littered it with statues of himself.
